1. About these terms

Play Magic Reef is operated by Eugene Lee (Entrepreneur individuel, SIREN 789 994 928), 205 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France. These terms apply to everyone who uses the service — hosts and venues who set up tanks, and guests who join a tank to create a fish. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 to create an account, run a session, or make a purchase. Children may take part only under the supervision of a responsible adult (a parent, teacher, or host), who is responsible for them and for any consent needed for them to participate. The service is not intended to be used independently by children.

3. The service

Play Magic Reef lets a guest color or photograph a fish that then appears in a shared on-screen aquarium. We offer a free demo and paid plans. The service is provided on an evolving basis — features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove parts of it.

4. Accounts

To host and save tanks you create an account. Keep your login details secure and provide accurate information. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

5. Plans, payments & cancellation

• Free demo — try it with a small limit of fish per tank, no account or payment needed.
• Day Pass — a one-off purchase that unlocks more fish for a tank for a limited time.
• Reef Plus (monthly or annual) — a subscription with expanded features; it renews automatically each period until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime from your account, effective at the end of the current period.
• Venue — custom plans for larger events, arranged by contacting us.

Prices and what's included are shown on our pricing page and may change for future purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing you also accept Stripe's terms. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable; we may offer refunds at our discretion or where a paid feature was not delivered.

EU right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a digital purchase. Because our paid features are digital content made available immediately, you agree that we begin providing them at once and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once provision has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights if a service is faulty or not as described.

6. Acceptable use & content rules

The tank is a shared, family-friendly display. You agree not to create, upload, or display anything that:

• Is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or otherwise harmful or inappropriate for children;
• Photographs or identifies a person without their consent (point the camera at the drawing only);
• Contains other people's personal data, or infringes anyone's rights (including copyright or trademarks);
• Attempts to disrupt, overload, hack, or misuse the service.

Hosts are responsible for moderating what appears on their tank. We may remove any content and suspend access at our discretion, particularly to protect children or other users.

7. Your content

You (or the child you supervise) keep ownership of the drawings and photos created. To run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating Play Magic Reef. You confirm you have the right to submit it and the consent of anyone shown in it. You can remove content, or ask us to, at any time.

8. Host & venue responsibilities

If you run Play Magic Reef for others (for example at a venue, school, or event), you are responsible for supervising the children taking part, obtaining any permissions or consents required, moderating the shared display, and complying with all applicable laws in your location.

9. Availability & content

We work hard to keep the service running, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available, and we may suspend it for maintenance or changes.

Informational and educational content on the site — such as fish facts and blog articles — is provided for general interest and enjoyment. Some of it is created with the help of AI tools and reviewed by us before it's published. We work to keep it accurate, but we don't guarantee it's complete or error-free, and it isn't professional advice.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, for content submitted by users, or for events outside our reasonable control, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnity (business users)

If you use the service in a professional or business capacity (such as a venue or event host), you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service, the content you display, or your breach of these terms — to the extent permitted by law and except where the loss is our fault.

12. Intellectual property

Play Magic Reef, its name, logo, software, and design are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms; you may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer it.

13. Termination

You can stop using the service or close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licence, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

14. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without affecting the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, subject to those consumer rights. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
